I had a quick, unplanned trip to Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago. I found out my brother was coming to the states from Italy. He has been living in Italy for several years and I haven’t seen him for about sixteen. My mom, sisters and other family members live in Las Vegas so my brother was staying there.
Though my trip was all about family, I managed to slip in a photography excursion on one of the days. I made arrangements to meet up with another photographer from the Las Vegas area, David Thompson. He’s a fantastic landscape photographer in whom we have a couple of mutual photographer friends.
I drove out to Valley of Fire State Park, about an hour out of Las Vegas. I met David at the park. After parking we ran into another photographer from the East Coast, Moe Chen. Moe is also a wonderful photographer that I have followed on the social network Google+! It’s such a small world!
I had a wonderful time and enjoyed hanging with two great guys! Though I only spent a few hours out there, it was enough to get me anxious to return to explore the area further in the future. A very different type of landscape for me!
Nice shots of the Wave!
Thank you Melissa!
